D2 welcomes Ed Breen to our growing Life Sciences team. Ed brings almost 40 years of professional experience gained most recently at HDR and has practiced in all aspects of Life Sciences and Healthcare design and management. Ed’s experience also spans into Higher Education, bolstering our growing relationships with local universities.

Ed has built a reputation of being a hands-on project leader, providing strategic and technical oversight, influencing the design quality, and ensuring a high level of service. His clients describe him as a team aligner, enjoying the levity he brings to the project journey as well as the calm, continuous pressure toward the finish line that he applies. These qualities have allowed Ed to gain the trust of some of the region’s largest companies leading to award winning projects and multiple publications.

Outside of work, Ed enjoys spending most of his time outside – biking and hiking. He also enjoys gardening, cooking, and gaining inspiration through travel.
