Financial services firm Brown Brothers Harriman engaged D2 for an office relocation project after being in the same building for nearly 100 years. D2 approached the design process with the intention to keep central the history of the business while planning for its successful future. The new space accommodates an open work environment and integrates technology throughout, and includes strategically planned meeting and gathering spaces that allow Brown Brothers Harriman to remain sensitive to the confidentiality needs of their clients. A bold, blue custom wall with all of the founders’ signatures makes history the focal point of the reception area. Rustic finishes throughout blend with an overall contemporary aesthetic to make Brown Brothers Harriman’s new office the perfect modern invocation of a rich business history.
