D2 Welcomes Andrea Toscana Rodriguez to the team!
Warm welcome to Andrea, the newest addition to the engineering studio!
Andrea is a recent college graduate from Villanova University, where she received her BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Dynamic Systems and minors in Mathematics and Engineering Entrepreneurship…congrats, Andrea! Her Capstone Design project won second place in the social impact category of the Capstone Senior Awards for the Mechanical Engineering graduating class of 2021. The project consisted of designing a solar powered desalination device – a pyramid solar still with tarp lining and sand to promote evaporation and condensation to collect fresh water – to install in Madagascar.
Andrea is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy and how they can be implemented in the designs she’ll be developing for new projects. She hopes to educate and motivate her clients to make sustainability a goal for their businesses. Her drive to inspire change quickly won us over and we are thrilled to have her on the team.
“I am so grateful to be a part of the D2 studio! Everyone has been very welcoming, taking the time to get to know me and making sure my experience here so far has been a positive one!
…I am excited to continue learning from the excellent engineering team and the studio as a whole – which has been so supportive in my first weeks here. Looking forward to building relationships and growing with this team!”
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending her down time reading. She also enjoys soccer, wakeboarding, and has a soft spot for our favorite fuzzy friends!
Welcome to the studio Andrea!
