D2 Welcomes Ryan Pietrowski to the team!

D2 is pleased to announce that Ryan Pietrowski has joined our architecture team as a Senior Project Designer. He comes to us from Gensler and, most recently, CannonDesign where he practiced in multiple markets including Healthcare, Education, Rec Centers, + Wellness architecture.

Ryan received his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech, is currently licensed in MD, is a LEED Green Associate. While in MD, he was a very active member of AIA Baltimore, participating in multiple volunteer programs centered on education for grade school level children. He led the creation of a new AIA program called “Designer for a Day”, which allows architects to partner with public design schools to bring students into working design studios.

Simply — good design is good design

Ryan’s role at D2 will focus on master planning, design concepting and development, and visualization. His philosophy? “Simply – good design is good design”. Ryan takes inspiration from the design process itself, enjoys rolling out the trace paper, developing a narrative, and working with his clients to identify the solution that aligns with their vision and brings them the most value. Ryan’s work has been published in Fast Company and with AIA Baltimore and he is a seasoned public speaker participating in conferences and events, including UCUI, Unreal Engine’s Unreal Fest 2020, and the AIA Baltimore Wellness Showcase 2020.

Outside of work, Ryan, enjoys playing soccer, watching Virginia Tech football, snowboarding, enjoying good food (specifically Neapolitan style pizza and Carbonara) and good drinks (like an Old Fashioned), and spending time with his yellow lab, Tex.
