Firstrust’s 555 City Avenue branch in Bala Cynwyd was overdue for a transformation. After 25 years without updates, the space no longer reflected the bank’s evolving brand or its initiative to modernize and standardize branches across its network.

D2 led a phased renovation to reduce the branch’s footprint by a third, improve layout efficiency, and maintain full operations, including uninterrupted access to vault services. To keep the branch functional during construction, a temporary location was established within the space being relinquished. The new layout enhances flow and function, streamlining office and teller areas while converting one of two oversized vaults into a practical support function.

The design introduces a brighter, more open environment anchored by warm, modern finishes. A standout wood slat trellis ceiling adds texture and character, while reconfigured sightlines and a more intuitive entry experience improve accessibility and elevate first impressions.

Today, Firstrust City Avenue embodies the next generation of the brand, bringing greater efficiency, consistency, and a more customer-focused experience. It establishes a strong benchmark for future branches across the portfolio.
