Qlik was losing energy in their suburban Philadelphia space—departments were transferring to other office locations and employees were increasingly working from home. Their relocation provided the opportunity to drastically affect their company’s structure, moving from an office heavy footprint to an open floor plan. It also provided the opportunity to minimize real estate costs by maintaining most of the existing conditions. Renovations were strategically controlled and applied where impact would be greatest – reception area and meeting spaces– while the overall design strategy focused on infusing the Qlik brand and personality. The exterior of the building was reclad to include storefront glass and bold branding.
