Saul Ewing Baltimore
D2’s national partnership with Saul Ewing was initiated with the development of national design standards. Since, the firm has begun rolling them out across their portfolio. Spatial standards and level of fit and finish are a constant while each location is unique in culture, operations and aesthetic style. In Baltimore, the team was ready to push their workplace beyond the long-established traditional strategy of law firms. Their drivers – mentorship, socialization, and increased connectivity through transparency – led to the development of additional space types to support the hybrid workforce. Multi-purpose areas are strategically located – bringing junior associates, senior partners, remote first attorneys, and legal teams together. Unassigned settings were given prime corner real estate and include a mix of open, closed, and casual seats with adjacent coffee bar and meeting spaces. The heart of the workplace is a mixed-use gathering area with outdoor access that can be used to host events, individual work, and meaningful collaborative connections. The legal office is one that is rapidly evolving and the Baltimore location takes Saul Ewing into the future.
