SPCA
When the SPCA’s new, ground-up facility was almost complete, D2 was called to weave a story through the space with powerful environmental graphics, wayfinding, and messaging. The challenge was big space, modest budget, and just three months to design, fabricate, and install. The SPCA’s vision for the space, “happy”, is brought to life through color, bold installations, whimsical messaging inspired by our love for our furry friends, and full of cheery wordplay. A large installation of three-dimensional mice forms the shape of a cat around a viewing window while a tennis ball installation opposite the lobby forms the shape of a dog. A pet supply store is named, S’Wag Purrvisions: Where the Cool Cats Shop, and the exam room entrances are filled with words of love so that our best friends can feel Pawlbetter! In addition to the Veterinary Clinic and shop, the building houses an Adoption Center and Community Center. All spaces are unified by the same brand strategy and no space, not even the dog baths aka ‘The Dirty Dog’, are left without some loving brand attention.
