The Artisan

When Afton Properties acquired The Artisan, they recognized both its vast potential and the challenges limiting its appeal. The property lacked a defined sense of arrival and shared community spaces had become underutilized, disconnected, and dated over the years. To create a modern, amenity-rich community, Afton collaborated with D2 to reimagine the campus.

To enhance sense of arrival, a new main entrance and outdoor linking structure now provide a strong first impression and visual continuity between buildings, all while avoiding extra land approvals. A former maintenance zone was transformed into a lively amenity center offering a fitness facility, gaming lounge, conference room, and social spaces for residents and families. The clubhouse was revitalized into a flexible venue for events and gatherings.

Inside the leasing office, improved layout, dedicated meeting rooms, and a custom illuminated map of Lawrenceville create a polished, welcoming experience. Thoughtful styling and curated accessories reinforce the campus’s refreshed identity. Through strategic planning and design, The Artisan is now a connected community, reflecting Afton’s dedication to providing a contemporary lifestyle rooted in a strong sense of place.
