D2 welcomes Ariel Kanusky to our Interior Design team as a Senior Project Designer. With almost a decade behind her, Ariel returns to D2 after some time at Acela Architects where she expanded upon her already impressive portfolio with additional healthcare experience with a focus on hospital renovations. Ariel does it all with a wide range of expertise that we are excited to have back in our studio!

Ariel completed her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University with a dual minor in Entrepreneurship and Operations Management and is NCIDQ certified. Ariel’s energy, enthusiasm, and acumen for the profession has propelled her into lead project roles. She has documented, detailed, and led construction administration for some of D2’s most complex projects.  Many of her projects have been recognized by IIDA, ASID, and Interior Design Magazine , including Toll Brothers, Equus Capital Partners, and Arborcrest.

Ariel designs not just to impress, but to improve – and she applies this philosophy to herself, the industry as a whole and the broader community. She thrives when working through a good design challenge in order to expand her skills and knowledge and to promote growth and innovation for the firm and the design industry. Although Ariel provides input and practical consultation in the beginning phases of a project, she is most at home and exercises her strengths in the technical phases. Her sharp eye and ability to see the big picture has gained the trust of her clients nationally. She spots a potential issue well before it becomes one and is able to orchestrate her team both internally and externally toward a highly successful resolution.

While professionally, she is engulfed in the indoor environment, Ariel spends much of her downtime outdoors. Taking advantage of the diverse landscape PA has to offer, you can find her running, kayaking, hiking or gardening.
